5. Some ideas on how aesthetic training can be improved?
We try to connect more and more residents to plastic surgeon to share and learn from their
experiences. IMCAS is involved in the residents and young surgeons learning with specific sessions in the
congress. For example, we were the first ever to do face injection simulation designed specifically for them.
6. Where do you see the world of aesthetic surgery 5 years down the line?
Still moving forward of course, looking for the best answer that is more and more accurate to the
patient demand.
7. Would you say there is a huge difference in training if we compare the USA with
Europe? If so would you like to elaborate?
Good question. It’s difficult to answer because even within Europe, the training is completely
different. Maybe one noticeable difference is that the residents are more prone to operate in Europe than
in the USA in this specialty, but at the end, it’s almost the same.
8. What is the surgery that excites you the most?
Aha, I have the chance to do most of all body treatment, breast augmentation to flap breast
reconstruction to facial procedures all levels up to reconstruction. All are great.
9. What role do you think your family has had for you to reach where you are?
Your parents are important. Mine never push me to do it but they have been inspiring with their
high life values.
10. Would you want your children to follow in your footsteps in the same field?
It’s not an obligation, plus they have time.
11. What is the next thing in your mind that you want to do in life?
Professionally, Kill the VAT (value-added tax) on aesthetics forever.
12. Any words for our young readers?
Be curious, don’t be shy to visit colleagues, travel and learn.
13. Any life changing incident that you remember (professional or personal)?
Life as walk is a succession of falls which makes you go forward - it’s great like that.
