as imparting practical advice and information, the webinar series drew us together as
a community during a difficult time. It is immensely valuable to hear how your fellow
plastic surgeons are coping and adapting to a complete upheaval in their professional

lives at a time when you are experiencing the same.

We are now into the next phase of development looking to support aesthetic plastic
surgeons in common problem areas and in overall practice and business development.

Recurrent feedback to us of areas which UK plastic surgeons would like support
with include their medical indemnity, common problems in litigation and medicolegal
practice. To that end our next webinar series has just launched and we welcome
overseas attendees including our Indian friends to BAAPS Support: Legal as well!

It is also time for us to develop partnerships with strategic companies who align with
our vision and enable us to offer services such as patient finance, credit card services
and other financial management services at favourable rates. No area of the business

of plastic surgery is too small or large for us to look at as long as it brings a tangible
benefit to our members. Our conference plans are also back on the table albeit in
virtual mode as we end 2020 and head towards 2021 and again we invite the Plasticos
community to join us in 2021.

It has been a very challenging time to be a plastic surgeon in the UK during 2020 but
out of challenges have arisen opportunities. On a personal level, my involvement with
BAAPS Support and my interactions with my plastic surgeon colleagues over the last

year has been a hugely rewarding experience. There has been lots of hard work along
the way, but the gain has been all of ours and we have all kept our passion for plastic
                     surgery and our patients.

What comes next for us? The great thing is that there is no limit and there is no
shortage of ideas and innovations coming our way. Plastic surgeons have always been
innovators, and this is proving to be no different in BAAPS Support. I very much look
forward to the years ahead and seeing how we can grow this organisation to truly do

as its name says and support plastic surgeons.
